Ripple Effect is a short film for a proposed documentary series that follows accomplished actor and conservationist Matthew Modine on a quest to find what Jacques Cousteau called “wavemakers”: extraordinary people making bold attempts to save the planet before it’s too late. Striking a balance between activism and adventure, Matthew and the heroes he visits open our eyes to the wonders of the ocean, the bounty of the land, and all that stands in the way of a prosperous world. Ultimately, these stories are an emotional showcase of human potential and hope, inspiring each of us to participate in the preservation of our Earth.
